 Crew Wanted Minimize

Melbourne or Sydney

I am looking for a new crew in either Melbourne or Sydney or both who I can call upon when in those cities and to compete in the Australian Championships in Brisbane in January. I would like him to be tall but weigh no more than 95 kgs. Strength and fitness are a must, experience while an advantage is not essential and I would encourage any younger guys who would like to have go to contact me.

I have a good track record with over 15 years of racing this class and have come 3rd in the Nationals 4 times. I have won the NSW State Championships 3 times and the Victorian Championships twice. I also have a very good boat! For those who don't know I live midway between Melbourne and Sydney and would not be able to sail more than once a month in either city.

Melbourne

I have sailed in 8 FD world and European championships (2000-2005). My crewman in Europe is a 3-time Russian Olympian. In 2004 I was in the top 25% in worlds in over 3kts. Travemuende Week, Germany 2004: won a race, third overall. In 2005 I was in the top 30% in worlds and got a 3rd and 5th placing in races leading up to the worlds.

Very quick boat. I sail from Black Rock in Melbourne. The crew must be very keen and strong, preferrably tall and 85-100 kgs.

Come sail a Flying Dutchman. Many boats are without crew and would appreciate your being involved with one of the most exciting sailing craft in use today. Look on the contacts page for the state secretaries, send them email and get involved today.
