Hi All

Now sure is anyone is going to Spain this year. I have just been apointed the Korean Laser Olympic coach leading up to ISAF worlds in Portugal in July 07. They finish on the 13th July. So if anyone is considering doing the event I will be finished on the 13th.So pretty easy to get on a plane to come do the event . How ever training in Sydney/Aust impossible before hand.

I will be leaving for Korea on the 1st April and not returning till End of July , So if you send a boat , you can contact me best here or richardscarr@hotmail.com or SMS 0417-693-740

Give me plently of time as my diary is filling up with work commitments.

Slight adjustment to dates. I will be finished on the 10th in Portugul so a little easier to do whole event.

Who is sending boats over any way?

I know Douglas Parker is going who else?

Another option is if there is a 40ft going over then maybe I could "charter" an aussie FD and do the event as a Helm and get a crew myself over there. That way we can keep the Aussie numbers up and do events. Anyway let me know if any one is sending a containers over and maybe I can find a boat to charter and do it as well!

Richard, another option for you to think about, there sill be an American container, I believe there will be four or five US teams, (not including me unfortunately) and possibly room for another boat. I have a nice boat you might charter from here. I'd need you to pay transport and insurance, I guess around US$1500? just a thought, if no Australian solution appears. The USA container leaves NY for Spain May 28th. jonathan

Richard,

There may be an option or two with some of the kiwis - particularly those ones returning to the class for the Worlds here.  Some very good yachties amongst them.  email me for contacts.

Richard, This is a 1983 Lindsay hull, recently restored and refinished by Mark Lindsay himself. The US container is being packed for Spain on May 28th. If you are really interested, e-mail me and we'll talk about the cost. jonathan clapp jfclapp (at) net1plus.com
